QUESTION:
How do we know when a feeling or thought is coming from God or if it is our own idea?
The first indication is whether or not the thought or feeling is good, not evil. Will the feeling or thought produce good fruits?
The second indication is whether this thought or feeling came as a result of you thinking about this situation. Chances are, if you were thinking or even praying about something, you cannot be sure that it is coming from God. I find that when God communicates with us, it comes like manna from heaven and does not rely upon our conscious thoughts.
